Our LOGO!

Yea!  Our Logo has been chosen!  We are so grateful to our friends and family-- everyone who gave us their two cents!  Thanks to your valuable input we made our choice.  The above logo represents all that we want to honor and encompass.  To honor the 3/7 CAV we accepted the horses--our vary name is an honor to those who fought for country in Operation Iraqi Freedom 1: GarryOwen!   GarryOwen Brewing is the parent company for our coffee endeavors as GarryOwen Espresso Pub and GarryOwen Beer Brewing Supply.  Eventually the umbrella will cover our micro-brew endeavors and mead production.

Currently we are seeking funding from a couple different sources to get our project going!  Look for an opportunity to help in the days to come!  (I know cryptic, but so exciting!)

Website Up and Then Some!

Today began as most Mondays do--with three hours wasted on technology that ran perfectly yesterday, but today... not so much.  Actually a great deal of my technologies are on the fritz suddenly.  But that did not stop me!  Tenacity is my hallmark.  What did we accomplish today:  Facebook page up and running; website published, a new telephone number chosen (915.247.BREW), Twitter (@GarryOwensEP), and the first true blog for this blog site.

What's there left to do?  I am researching what I need to run a coffee truck as far a permits and such.  Tomorrow I will contacting powers that be on Ft Bliss and UTEP to see what I can and can't do in these locations.  And checking on advertising in our areas--El Paso and Las Cruces, ie billboards, etc.

And that's not all!  We have so much to do!  We had been dreaming of a coffee shop for such along time.  An opportunity fell through a couple of years ago, due to lack of capital.  But on Saturday, my MIL sent us an email telling us about this newest opportunity-- a traveling espresso truck.  Chappy and I discussed it and began to consider the traditional ways we could raise capital.  Then the next day!  We had an pre-recorded KIM KOMMANDO show playing on the radio Sunday (after we prayed at church for opportuntiy) and Low!  She talked about Kickstarter website.  We went to the website and saw what we've been hoping for for such a long time!  The means to raise capital to see our coffee/espresso dreams come true.  Now we are working diligently, gathering all the ideas and information we'd been gathering for years and exploring all the areas we didn't need to explore before, but need to  now to get this project posted to Kickstarter.  And our dreams come true!

We'd like to be rolling with this as the new UTEP football season kicks off and the weather starts to cool down.  People look for their warm lattes when the weather drops below 95degrees, LOL!
